The drinks industry has reacted in a hostile manner to the WHO Action Plan and its goal of reduced alcohol consumption and related harm. This report should be seen as a counterbalance to the Amsterdam Group; as support for the WHO European Alcohol Action Plan and as a contribution to the need for the Commission to promote a framework for alcohol policy for the Union.
